Nous avons passé une excellente journée avec le sympathique guide Desna qui nous a bien expliqué les visites et répondu aux questions. Nous garderons de belles images en tête de ces beaux temples et de ces magnifiques rizières.

We had a full day tour of a part of Bali. Despite its relatively small size, Bali has numerous attractions and it is difficult to choose the right one. The tour we chose was a mix of nature and local culture. We had an excellent guide in Aron who explained the intricacies of each attraction. He has a very good command of English. We also talked about his family etc. he was also cognisant of our individual abilities and inabilities and chose appropriate places for us to visit. The Ulun Dani Bratan lakeside temple is very photogenic and a revered temple. Like most temples in Bali, parts of the temple are not open unless you are taking part in a ceremony. We drove to the fantastic Jatiluwih rice terraces. This is a vast area in the mountains and is a great experience. This is much bigger than the more frequently visited Tegalalang rice terraces. We then visited two temples dating from 10th and 11th centuries. The nature of Balinese temples is such that only parts of the original temples survive. We went to Tana Lot temple, which we had visited before so we did not stay for the sunset. So overall it was an excellent day trip thanks to Aron.
