Fantastic day

Had really good day. Our guide Gede was very friendly and helpful. Had time to stop at the butterfly farm which was excellent and got to hold an atlas moth! The rice terraces were huge! We had a lovely lunch their and could do various walks which lasted from 45 minutes to 3 hours. The last temple Tanah lot was spectacular and Gede patiently waited while we watched the amazing sunset. Would recommend this tour for first timers in Bali.

Fantastic experience

We had a great trip today, and wanted to say a big thank you to our driver and tour guide Gusde. He drove us to each of our destinations and guided us around them on arrival, giving lots of interesting information in perfect English, as well as taking lots of great photos of us. We requested to change one of our destinations during the day, and he happily helped us to choose a suitable alternative. Gusde is friendly and a fantastic guide, we couldn’t recommend him enough.

Good value for money. Knowledgable, flexible and family-friendly guide!

4 adults and 2 children under 5yo. PICK UP : Nusa Dua DATE: 2nd week of July VISITED (in this order): Tanah Lot temple, Jatiluwih Padi Fields, Jati Wangi Luwak Coffee, Ulun Danu Bratan temple at Lake Beratan, Wiwanda Agrow strawberry farm**AWESOME GUIDE** -Our guide Gerde was friendly and had good knowledge of the places we visited. -We really liked that he was proactive in suggesting some changes to our itinerary based on the traffic, weather and the crowds (it was the last day of the local sch holidays, so some places had many local tourists). He also suggested we skip Luhur Batukaru temple since he said it wasn't suitable for young children, but gave us some alternatives to replace that: the kopi luwak place, strawberry farm and monkey forest. We left out Monkey forest because we ran out of time.-He's also good with kids; chatted with them and tried to engage them, even carried my 2yo for most of the walk through the padi fields! He's understanding too.. wasn't annoyed the least even when my kid's pee-filled diaper leaked onto his carseat.-He'd suggest good photo spots and also took 10+ pics at one time so we could choose our favourite- Very accommodating and even as we drive back around dinner time, he offered to stop us at any food joint we wanted so we could buy dinner. also offered to take us to a night market on the way back but we declined because the kids were tired.------- **FAV PLACES** -Hands down, Jatuluwih padi fields! The air was cool and it was so vast, majestic and very serene. We had a simple but tasty buffet lunch at a place overlooking the fields. There was rice and noodles and non-spicy options, so the kids also enjoyed it. The paths were not crowded at all and we could walk at a leisurely pace and really take in the scenery. Gerde said it wasn't too crowded because it was the end of holiday season for locals and the start of the european tourist season. He said we could do take various routes (e.g. 30min, 1 hr, 2.5hr etc), but with if you're travelling with young kids, of course everything takes twice as long! Along the paths, there are a couple of stalls where you can buy snacks or get a drink and sit and enjoy the view. The rice keropok we bought is very very tasty.. i regret buying only 2 packets :(((-Jati Wangi kopi luwak visit was very pleasant. Short but interesting tour that ended with a coffee+tea tasting session (more than 10 different flavours!) I'm not a coffee drinker but we ended up spending nearly 200SGD on powdered coffees and teas from here. Very nice as gifts! They also sell coconut sugar.-Tanah Lot. Due to evening crowds/traffic and the recent cloudy weather that would affect the sunset views, Gerde suggested we start with Tanah Lot. The morning view was amazing and it was low tide so the kids enjoyed dipping their hands into the rock pools. Gerde brought us to take pics with a couple of pythons. DON'T BRING YOUR STROLLER if you want to walk closer to the temple.--- **THE SO-SO** Strawberry farm was a bit underwhelming, but probably because we got there near closing time and most of the strawberries had been plucked by other visitors! The ones we did pluck and the ones we were served were not very sweet. There was a small section of raspberries, very few left as well but the ones we had were sweet. They served each of us nice cold strawberry smoothies. And the strawberry jam we bought from there was lovely.- Ulun Danu Bratan temple was crowded with tourists, the main attraction for us here was getting to take a pic carrying a civet cat, iguana and feed some animals like deer, rabbits and bats/(flying fox?) for a small fee.------- **NOT SO GREAT: -Our ride was smaller than we had expected and came without child seat for the ride even though we had stated we have chn under 5. If you need a child carseat, don't forget to specify! (we didn't ...) Luckily our stroller was a compact folding one, so the car could fit everyone, with some space for the souvenirs we bought and our diaper bags etc.-We don't recall being offered bottled water but we drank from our own bottles anyway and topped ours up at the lunch venue.-Lots of touts around Tanah Lot temple! they sell quite cute stuff and for cheap, but it's a bit annoying how you'd buy stuff already and then as you walk further on, another tout would approach you every 50m.-Toilets are so-so.. but most of them come with toilet paper. but I guess the toilet cleanliness also depends on the tour group that visits before you.
