Courteous, friendly and very kind driver guide

Four of us were picked up by Komang from our hotel and we drove to the Banyumala Twin Waterfalls. The trek down on foot was steep and uneven ... whilst the other three trekked down without a concern, I was a little nervous. Komang was very patient with me and ensured I got down safely. Likewise on the return trip. Later in the day, when we were walking around the rice paddies, it started raining and Komang met us on the path with umbrellas. All in all a fabulous day ... we were able to relax knowing we were well looked after by a responsive and responsible driver guide.

Fabulous Day

It was an amazing Experience to see the mountain temple, lake temple, water temple and the UNESCO rice terraces. I highly recommend the tour as these temples and rice terraces are valuable part of Balinese culture and history.Gede met us at our lobby at 8am as planned. He explained the day’s itinerary and the length of time of driving to each temple. At the temples Gede explained the uniqueness of each temple and the meaning of the festivals that were occurring during our visits. We appreciated what we were experiencing as a culture unfamiliar to us.Gede is an excellent driver, the traffic during rush hour was heavy at times but he made it feel effortless.Gede’s professionalism and humour kept us laughing through the day. We chatted during the drives, asking Gede many questions about the things we saw and he always explained. The lunch at the rice terraces is Balinese and delicious. Very filling and kept you full for the afternoon. Cold water provided by Gede kept us hydrated in the warm weather. The weather is cooler in the mountains, perfect for walking. The temples require appropriate clothing/attire to enter as well as the Balinese sarong at the mountain temple, provided at the entrance. The rice terraces and explanation of how the rice is grown and harvested provides an appreciation of how complicated it is to have rice to eat and to sell.Loved the day, thank you to Gede! I will arrange again with the company when my family travels to Bali.
