I was looking to see some of the most iconic temples in Bali as well as visit a rice field. This trip was wonderful in that it incorporated all those highlights in one day. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the rice fields, but they were truly majestic and it was a great 40 minutes walking amongst the fields. The temples were colorful, peaceful and each majestic in its own way. Our driver, Yudi Antara, was easily an authority on the history, culture, stories and festivals related to the temples. We were lucky in that there are festivals happening soon so all the villages along the way and the temples themselves were dressed up and ready for the festivals. My greatest fear was that we would get an aggressive driver. Yudi was wonderful. He was relaxed, drove carefully, super polite and made the trip an enjoyable experience.
