Temples, waterfalls, and more

Our driver Kamong was amazing. I have limited mobility and he always made sure I was safe. We were able to see all the sites. What an awesome trip highly recommend.

See another side of Bali away from the beach

It was a very interesting trip to the water temples and the rice paddies. Our driver/guide Desna was well informed and spoke English well, so it was easy to communicate with him. Our first stop was Ulun Danu Bratan by a lake. Old and interesting. The next, Luhur Batukaru, you had to wear a sarong(provided at the site). While you couldn’t enter the main temple, you walked by the biggest manmade pond with koi. Monkeys were there too, eating the offerings. It started to rain, and umbrellas were provided by the guide. Next was the rice paddies. We were lucky, timing was right to see the rice grains on the plants. The area is massive. It’s also where you stop for lunch, a small, tasty buffet. Between the first and second temple we had an opportunity to visit a Luwak coffee farm. These are the coffee beans that are harvested after the civet cat (luwak) eats them and poops the out. Coffee is very smooth and mellow. That’s an option on your trip The last temple was Tana Lot on the ocean. A beautiful spot. We very much enjoyed the day with Desna. The only issue with the day was the long drive in between places, but that’s what is needed for the trip.
