Overview

Join this early morning trip to the east side of Bali. Lempuyang Temple is one of six most important temples in Bali, has been believed to be a very sacred temple by Balinese people. It is located on the slope of Mount Lempuyang 600 metres (2,000 ft) high above sea level. According to Balinese beliefs, they are the pivotal points of the island and are meant to provide spiritual balance to Bali. Walk through the temple along the stairs then you can feel the real spiritual vibrancy of the temple. From here you can see Mount Agung the highest volcano in Bali very close. Make an amazing picture on the gate of heaven with the background of Mt. Agung.

Next, you will stop at a beautiful water palace called Tirta Gangga where you will see a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a beautiful statues and gardens. The centerpiece of the palace is an eleven tiered fountain which is very beautiful with so many Koi fish around the ponds.
On the way to the waterfall, you will have a break to enjoy a local lunch with an amazing rice field view. Generate more energy with the local food with the panorama pampering your eyes.

Visit the hidden Tukad Cepung waterfall. Walk closely to the waterfall pouring under the small cave with the sun rays shining straight through the top of the fall, creating natural beams across the canyon. The last stop is the magical Tegalalang rice terrace. Experience the popular jungle swing for your Instagram feeds and unforgettable moment.

HEAVENLY TOUR

If you can only do one tour in Bali, choose this tour and INSIST on having Paul as your guide. We stayed in Kuta, 2.5 hours away from Lempunyang Temple but I honestly never felt the length of the drive because the conversation between us flowed easily. Paul has an excellent command of English and is a wealthy source of knowledge regarding Balinese culture, traditions and destinations. An air conditioned car makes the trip even better in the crazy humid Bali conditions. One of my favourite parts was the route. He drove us through small villages, untouched by tourists which was lovely to see how they live.Comfort is key! The car was comfortable, Paul drives slowly, and he always had snacks and water available for us to nibble on during the drive. He also opened and closed the door for us at each stop. It's the simple attention to detail that makes all the difference!Destinations: - Lempunyang: 3 hour wait in the queue (shade provided) but oh so worth it!!! To see Mt Agung and capture that iconic photo! Paul also provided the sarong. One of my best and unexpected memory of this tour was that the parking was so overcrowded that we parked at the bottom and took a scooter up to the top! So much fun! - Tirta Ganga: Most exquisite water palace. So serene! - Lunch at Maha Giri - Buffet Indonsesian Lunch situated on the top of a hill overlooking rice terraces. - Tekad Cepung Waterfall: Yes, it's a lot of steps but the final destination is worth it! I'm really unfit and I managed fine (with a good few breaks in between).Paul kept on telling us: "NO RUSH" and it meant that we could take our time and absorb the beauty of Bali. He was so kind, we actually only arrived home after 7pm!Paul's hidden talent is Photographer! Hand over the phone and let him work his magic so that he captures the memories while you enjoy the moment.Paul, the sight seeing was beautiful, but you made the tour EXTRAORDINARY and for that we say: SUKSMA! TERIMA KASI!

A long full day tour

If you start from Ubud, be prepared for a long trip by car, the temple is far east. The queue for the photo at the temple is quite long (hours) so that was the only negative note. You'll get some good photos in return so if you like that kind of memories you'll be satisfied. The water Palace close there is beautiful. The waterfall is fun, more than an interesting waterfall...the interesting bit IMHO are the irrigation canals you will see along the way.Diano, our guide, is quite a nice guy, knowledgeable of the surroundings and the places we visited.

Great tour with Dana

I had to pleasure of doing my gates of heaven tour with Dana. He arrived on time and was very helpful in making the ride comfortable. Some tours had long lines but Dana helped in making it go well and timeless. We arrived at each spot and immediately Dana helped take pictures for me to make the time memorable. It was a really great day. I recommend this tour to any one coming to Bali. Ask for Dana!!
