We had another wonderful tour with Ma-de, which we specifically requested after spending a day with him as our private guide in Ubud. Before the tour we communicated easily via whatsapp, where we were able to customize the time we were to be picked up, as well as have different pick-up and drop-off locations. The tour was very enjoyable. Ma-de made great recommendations as to the times we should be at each location to get the best experience. As before, he took lovely pictures for us, and told us many interesting facts about Bali. For anyone booking - please make sure to bring a swimsuit/shorts and flip flops/water shoes for the waterfall! Although this tour doesn't hit as many locations as some others from HBD, it's a long day of driving, so really appreciate Ma-de getting us to and from each location safely. Truly made some great memories

My wife and I were in Bali for honeymoon and decided to book this trip based on the great tripadvisor reviews and weren’t disappointed.This was our second trip with this company and again, communication was great first with Wayan (the boss) emailing and whatsapping us to confirm the date pick up time / location a couple of days prior to the trip.On the morning of the trip we received a WhatsApp message from our driver Lewer an hour before pick up time letting us know that he would be picking us up. We were a little late as the start time was quite early and we had to wait a little while for breakfast however Lewer (who turned up on time) waited patiently and when we did arrive greeted us with a smile and polite introduction.Lewer was a safe driver and the car was very clean, the air conditioning was a life saver.We started the day at the gates of heaven, on the way up Lewer pointed out various points of interest along the way from the monkeys at the side of the road to informing us about the history of mount Agung and the facts of the last known eruptions.On arriving at the gates we found there to be a bit of a wait to get our photos, during the wait Lewer chatted to us throughout and told us about life in Bali, he also showed an interest in us and life back in the UK.The gates of heaven were a sight to behold, the water gardens were stunning and the rice terrace over which we took our lunch was picture perfect. After lunch we visited a waterfall. At each location Lewer provided detailed information, good conversation and a sense of humour, he was also very generous when we were short of small change at a couple of points in the day!We used hire Bali driver for one other tour whilst on our trip and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again

This was our second tour booked with a HBD - experience very much the same as the first with wayan emailing / whatsapping ahead of time to confirm time / location of pick up.Lewer was our guide for the day and he was brilliant throughout. From arriving early, waiting for us in the hotel foyer as we were slightly late from breakfast, he greeted us warmly and we got on our way.From the offset he had a good sense of humour and had a great knowledge of the area as he lives in the east of Bali, he kept us entertained with conversation and facts about the area.The tour destinations themselves were nothing short of spectacular, the gates of heaven, water palace, rice field which we overlooked for lunch and waterfall were all stunning!We wouldn’t hesitate booking again with HBD and if you do and are lucky enough to have Lewer as a guide for the day you won’t be disappointed
