Overview

Join this early morning trip to the east side of Bali. Lempuyang Temple is one of six most important temples in Bali, has been believed to be a very sacred temple by Balinese people. It is located on the slope of Mount Lempuyang 600 metres (2,000 ft) high above sea level. According to Balinese beliefs, they are the pivotal points of the island and are meant to provide spiritual balance to Bali. Walk through the temple along the stairs then you can feel the real spiritual vibrancy of the temple. From here you can see Mount Agung the highest volcano in Bali very close. Make an amazing picture on the gate of heaven with the background of Mt. Agung.

Next, you will stop at a beautiful water palace called Tirta Gangga where you will see a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a beautiful statues and gardens. The centerpiece of the palace is an eleven tiered fountain which is very beautiful with so many Koi fish around the ponds.
On the way to the waterfall, you will have a break to enjoy a local lunch with an amazing rice field view. Generate more energy with the local food with the panorama pampering your eyes.

Visit the hidden Tukad Cepung waterfall. Walk closely to the waterfall pouring under the small cave with the sun rays shining straight through the top of the fall, creating natural beams across the canyon. The last stop is the magical Tegalalang rice terrace. Experience the popular jungle swing for your Instagram feeds and unforgettable moment.

Bali with Berata

We went on this tour with Berata as our guide. He was fantastic at his job very friendly and professional. He told us a lot about Bali on this tour. He gave us special attention at all the stops. We even got to try the Luwek coffee that is famous for being the most expensive coffee in the world. It was very good. The Gate to Heaven was spectacular and fun. The Water Palace was beautiful and we fed the fish. We did lunch overlooking the beautiful rice terrace. The swing added some excitement and fun. The waterfalls were also spectacular. The hike was a little daunting to get to the waterfalls but well worth it. So go out and book your tour and don’t forget to ask for Wayon Berata to be your guide.

Great trip but be patient

Definitely a moment for instagram.Gate of Heaven: We arrived at about 6am and finally took pictures at 7:45am, so be patient. The shot is worth the wait and the people are very organized.Tirta Gangga: this was a perfect place to rest before tackling the waterfalls. The area was great for photos and fun. Grab an ice cream for you and some bread for the fish. The waterfalls: okay… the waterfalls were beautiful but the trek up and down the stairs is a bit of work. Be prepared to climb. Wear comfortable sandals, bring a towel, and take your time on the steps (which at times are steep and uneven). With that being said, the pictures are instagram gold.Overall, this was a good experience. My driver/tour guide, Desna, was patient and attentive. He helped me take photos around the temple while we waited for my turn at the Gate of Heaven. He was quite knowledgeable about the sites, so we were able to maneuver through lines and congestion much easier than if I had done this without him.

Kantum is the Absolute Best!!

Yes, Viator created an absolutely fantastic itinerary for this particular excursion. However, it was your representative Nengah Kantum who, unequivocally made the entire excursion experience one of - if not the most - memorable that I’ve experienced in my 71 years of traveling.Kantum was/is extremely knowledgeable about each and every one of our destinations; took extremely professional photos & photos - while making unique, outstanding and spot on recommendations for poses. He was extremely personable and was equally a wealth of knowledgeable about the many culture related culturesccSuffice it to say, Kantum is a consummate professional and we were/are so very to have his as guide!
