My Fiancé and I had the most amazing day, Sunarta did a splendid job of driving us around Bali. The Quad bikes and Monkey village were truly spectacular ????

We were visiting Bali by cruise ship and looking for an activity to do whilst in port for 2 days. We found this trip on Tripadvisor and booked before departing. We were contacted before we arrived in port giving us the details of the pick up. Gung Rai was waiting for us with a lovely clean and air-conditioned mpv. We were surprised to find that this was a private tour as we thought that we would be meeting up with others. Gung Rai took us to the Monkey Forest where he took us around and explained about the monkeys and the temple. Then on to ATV riding, provided by Alasan Adventure, a really organised and professional outfit. They provided boots and crash helmets and a short period of instruction before setting off on the trail - just a note, if you want to ride tandem you will probably need a bigger bike as there is a weight restriction on the 200cc bikes (@180kg)!! There are 450cc bikes available at very little more expense and are much more comfortable for the passenger. Also these go out on their own with a guide rather than in a group. Our guide Jordi was great, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable with good english. At the end of the exciting but muddy trip there were towels and basic but effective showers. After this we were transported to a day club for a delicious lunch. There was a beautiful infinity pool, overlooking rice fields, for swimming if wished Gung Rai was waiting for us and he took us to visit a local temple and he came inside and explained about local customs around the temple. As we had expressed a wish to see some local crafts he also took us to a fabulous wood carving centre and a batik shop with batik and weaving demonstrations. We also went to a small coffee stop which showed how coffee is grown, processed and roasted, including the infamous ‘cat poo’ coffee All in all a long but very enjoyable day. Gung Rai was an excellent driver/guide . We would recommend this trip 100%
