Overview

Visit three most beautiful waterfalls near to Ubud area. You will be taken to the first waterfall called Tibumana Waterfall. In this waterfall is good for swimming as it has very blue water and fresh come from the mountain. It is located very deep inside the lush green jungle along the beautiful slopes. Walk along the path passing some stairs down and pass a wooden bridge to see a beautiful waterfall.

Next, you will drive around 45 minutes to get Tukad Cepung Waterfall. This waterfall is the most hidden waterfall in Bali. You cannot see it from any distance, except you go 10 meters from the waterfall because it is located inside the cave. To get there you need to walk along the jungle and some stairs to get the river. You will walk along the river with the high rock in between and you will see the most beautiful waterfall at the end.

The last waterfall is popular Tegenungan waterfall. You will expect more people here as it is located close to ubud center but it is still a good place to chill out and swim. But before that you will enjoy traditional local lunch with traditional ingredients. It is very tasty and unique.

Exceptional day out in Bali Nature

We did the waterfall tour with rice terrace and jungle swing. It included: 3 very unique waterfalls experience, lunch over looking a rice padi, an extra stop at a coffee plantations and the rice terraces all led by our very friendly, genuine and knowledgeable guide Ma-de. He was an absolute star answering all our questions and sharing his local knowledge throughout the day.For pick up we chose to start early at 7:00am, wanting to get ahead of the rush and it paid off. At all three waterfalls we had little to no-one else there. The first stop was Tegenungang Waterfall. From the start you have a number of lovely view points across the valley to the waterfall. After a short climb down the stairs it was lovely to walk right up to the waterfall. This one wearing sneakers is fine and you don’t get wet. Ma-de had great photography skills and could recommend all the good shots for novices like us.Next was a drive up to Tukad Cepung. This was probably our favourite with the unusual experience of climbing down right into the river bed and approaching the waterfall from the caves. This makes for an exceptional experience surrounded by high rock walls and great shots of the water spraying down around you. Beautiful and quiet experience going early. Here you start to get a little wet and I would recommend shoes which can get wet as you walk through the shallow waters.Next was our final waterfall for the day Tibumana waterfall. A very well maintain path leads down to a waterfall with clear water where you can enjoy a cooling swim before the waterfall. Again surrounded by beautiful natural moss and plant covered rock walls makes for lovely photos. We had a tasty lunch here in lovely Indonesian restaurant in the middle of rice fields. There were food options Indonesian and Western available.Next instead of the swing (which they were very accommodating about) we made a stop in at a local coffee and tea plantation and my husband tried the luwak coffee which he enjoyed. I can recommend ginger or mangosteen teas.Final stop was the Tegalalang rice terraces, a lovely community space with many activities available. Very well maintain and you can do the swing, zip line, walking amount the terraces amount some of the activities.Overall a highly enjoyable day out with great natural beauty, good variety of experience and a highly knowledgeable guide. Thank you Ma-de.
