Overview

Visit three most beautiful waterfalls near to Ubud area. You will be taken to the first waterfall called Tibumana Waterfall. In this waterfall is good for swimming as it has very blue water and fresh come from the mountain. It is located very deep inside the lush green jungle along the beautiful slopes. Walk along the path passing some stairs down and pass a wooden bridge to see a beautiful waterfall.

Next, you will drive around 45 minutes to get Tukad Cepung Waterfall. This waterfall is the most hidden waterfall in Bali. You cannot see it from any distance, except you go 10 meters from the waterfall because it is located inside the cave. To get there you need to walk along the jungle and some stairs to get the river. You will walk along the river with the high rock in between and you will see the most beautiful waterfall at the end.

The last waterfall is popular Tegenungan waterfall. You will expect more people here as it is located close to ubud center but it is still a good place to chill out and swim. But before that you will enjoy traditional local lunch with traditional ingredients. It is very tasty and unique.

Best Experience in Bali

This was an amazing experience and was made even more special by our guide, Kanuruhan. The waterfalls themselves exceeded expectations and were the best places we have visited so far in Bali. Kanu was extremely knowledgeable and provided extensive insight on Balinese culture during the transportation between locations and during the tour. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an exciting adventure while on the island.

Totally to recommend

First of all a short review: -Excellent trip for every water lover or people who really admire the beauty of nature.-Partly a bit exhausting because you will take a lot of stairs and steps.-Booked by way of getyourguide.de which worked perfectly (also had to delay the trip on a short notice due to sickness - was not a big deal!)-Our guide Panca was not only a guide for the waterfall trip but also taught us more in terms of the Balinese culture than everyone and everything else during our Bali trip. His English was really great and he was such a funny and nice guy. 10/10 would recommend! Here a more detailed review: Especially for people who stay in Ubud I can absolutely recommend this trip.We stayed in a hotel about 2 kilometers away from Ubuds center and got picked up at 09:00. The ride to the first waterfall took about an hour (of course this depends on your starting destination, the traffic situation and if you travel in the main season) and then you arrive in a beautiful rice terrace paradise...Our guide Panca told us the first waterfall acts as warm up for the next two planned stops and he didn't promise to much. There were a whole lot of steps down to the small and very romantic waterfall number one.Disregarding the few Instagram wannabes (I think they exist in front of every waterfall on this planet) our guide Panca took some really nice pictures from us. He also gave us the time to really enjoy the beautiful environment and it would have been possible to also take a short dip in the nature-pool in front or even under the waterfall but we decided to go back to the car and drive to the next one.The way up the steps was pretty exhausting but if you're not in a complete whack condition they are absolutely no problem. Also we always could take a break in case we needed one.As we arrived at the top of the stairs again our guide bought some drinks and we took a quick rest, before we started our 40 minutes ride to waterfall number two (our personal favorite of all three waterfalls). We got out of the car on the parking lot and our guide bought the tickets for the entry of waterfall number two which was located after an even longer and more demanding way down into the jungle than it was at waterfall number one (as promised by Panca beforehand). Guess what guys... It was totally worth it. Here I'd like to suggest that you should wear an overknee short, good shoes (like trekking shoes) and maybe socks because down the stairs you end up wading through the clear water (which is absolutely cool and refreshing).I don't want to tell you much more about that waterfall. You have to experience it by yourself and I really think none of you will be disappointed. The only thing I have to say is that you have to be prepared for the way back up to the parking lot. It's sometimes pretty steep and the steps are high so it can definitely be considered as sport (but there are restaurants and shops on the way up if you need some rest or something to drink). The ride to the last waterfall again took about 40 minutes. We went for lunch (which was included in the price) and were served a really good 3 course menu. Afterwards we went to the waterfall entry, Pancu paid our entry fees and this time let us explore the waterfall and its environment by ourselves. There were really a whole lot of tourists (and steps again...) and it was obviously the most popular of all three waterfalls. There also were a lot of bars (even some with loud party music at the top of the waterfall) and again you could go for a swim there. The way back to our hotel took about 40 minutes again so that we finished our journey at about 15:00.Last but not least I'd really like to thank our guide Panca for being the nicest and best guide we've ever experienced on a trip. He even made the exhausting parts of this day a thing where we had fun and he taught us so much about the environment, the people and especially the mindset of Bali. Suksma Panca and hopefully see you next time!
