Overview

Visit three most beautiful waterfalls near to Ubud area. You will be taken to the first waterfall called Tibumana Waterfall. In this waterfall is good for swimming as it has very blue water and fresh come from the mountain. It is located very deep inside the lush green jungle along the beautiful slopes. Walk along the path passing some stairs down and pass a wooden bridge to see a beautiful waterfall.

Next, you will drive around 45 minutes to get Tukad Cepung Waterfall. This waterfall is the most hidden waterfall in Bali. You cannot see it from any distance, except you go 10 meters from the waterfall because it is located inside the cave. To get there you need to walk along the jungle and some stairs to get the river. You will walk along the river with the high rock in between and you will see the most beautiful waterfall at the end.

The last waterfall is popular Tegenungan waterfall. You will expect more people here as it is located close to ubud center but it is still a good place to chill out and swim. But before that you will enjoy traditional local lunch with traditional ingredients. It is very tasty and unique.

Waterfall day trip was awesome

Our driver Dika came to our hotel in Nusa Dua on time. He introduced himself and offered us snacks and drinks directly. While driving us to the waterfalls he told us something about Bali’s history which was very nice. Seeing the waterfalls was insane. It was impressive and we would do it again especially with our driver Dika.

Choose Mr.Surya Wayan for an aswesome, open and personal tour to these three nice waterfalls near Ubud!

Today we made a trip to three really nice waterfalls near Ubud. Our guide surya took care of us for at least 7 hours and showed us everything in detail. We started with the Tukad Chepung Watterfall and got there after an one hour drive (from jembawan street, Ubud City) due to some traffic caused by the Bali Marathon. It was not too crowded and the nature is quite amazing. We would recommend to take bathing shoes or Flip Flops with you for this one cause its could be quite slippery. The second waterfall was the Tibumana. There we went swimming and took some really nice pictures. Needs to be mentioned that Surya is a really good photographer as well! This waterfall is best of the tour for taking a bath. The Water is not that cold and there are changing rooms avaiable. After that waterfall we took a break and had an authentic local lunch at a little streetfood spot. I liked the balinesean pork but it was really spicy! For the last waterfall we drove pack near to Ubud City. The Tegenungan is the most crowded and touristic one of the tour. It is indeed beautiful but a little to loud and commercial we would say. The others were more authentic and nature was more in the focus I would say. Between our different stations we talked a lot to Surya and he was really nice, open and told us everything we asked for and gave us a lot of local Information and tips. Needs to be mentioned that the package includes transfer both ways, water, snacks, lunch at a local spot, all entrys for the waterfalls. 2 All in all we will heartly recommend you to first visit the beautiful waterfalls and second please do it with Surya as a guide. We are planing to visit Bali another time the next years and meet him again for another tour!

Wonderful day visiting waterfalls

We had a lovely family day with our driver visiting the 3 waterfalls listed. Our driver was very friendly, attentive, informative and accommodating. We look our 12 year old son and he had no problems making the trek to and from the waterfalls. There are many steep stairs but they are structured steps and you can take your time and stop to rest along the way to suit your fitness level. Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan Waterfalls were magical but they are all worth seeing as they’re all different in their own way. Something to note. If your wanting to pop your head under the waterfall, you can only do at Tukad Cepung just due to safety reasons so make sure to do it their if your wanting too :) Thanks Giok for a lovely day.
