I contacted Hire Bali Driver while still in the UK to ensure that we had a number of things booked for when we arrived in Bali. They responded promptly and gave clear instructions as to what to expect. No payment was required at this point.On the day of our tour we received a WhatsApp message from our driver Gede Wiratma to tell us he had arrived (on time) at our hotel in Jimbaran. He was extremely polite and friendly and the fact he spoke good English was a bonus. The car was comfortable and cool. Gede was a careful driver on the very busy roads of Bali and made us feel safe.The trip itself was great lasting the full day and comprising of trips to Tanah Lot, Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, Ulun Danu Temple and Ayana Ayun Temple. Gede sorted everything for us and helped to explain the history of each site. He also helped take pictures and provided us with refreshments when needed.The sites themselves are stunning, though it’s worth reading reviews of the actual places to ensure that they’re what you want to see. Gede was very flexible and was happy to go to different places or in a different order depending on what we wanted. We actually visited a coffee plantation on the way back from Jatiluwih, which we really enjoyed.Overall I would highly recommend booking with Hire Bali Driver. It’s an easy way of seeing the sites without the hassle of sorting your own taxi on the day or using an app such as Grab. For us, our driver made the day. It was great to get to know Gede and we will remember him as much if not more than some of the sites. We signed up online for the Tanah Lot Temple tour with Hireabalidriver.com. Surya was our guide and driver. He is a nice and friendly guide and is very knowledgeable about the history and cultural aspects of the temples. We are also impressed by his familiarity with local streets and traffic. We visited the Taman Ayun temple, Ulun Danu Temple in Beratan, the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, and the Tanah Lot temple. Surya is an excellent guide and we finished each temple visit with a sense of appreciation and awe. Buffet lunch at the rice terrace also offered a great view of the terraces. Overall, we highly recommend this tour.
