Thanks for the nice day

On this tour through Ubud we saw a lot of monuments and met mindful balinese (you must go to the coffee farm and taste the avocado coffee!) . We stopped at so many different beautiful points, where we took a lot of great photos and saved memories. Our Guide Bagus was so friendly and helped us everywhere. He tell us a lot interesting details about Bali and planed everything how we want it. We recommend this tour so much. We have a lot of fun and laughed a lot with Bagus (Guide).

A lovely day spent exploring the Ubud region with Yandek

Our private tour of the Ubud region started off at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, which was a real highlight of the holiday - it was really amazing to be able to get so close to the monkeys and I managed to get a lot of lovely photos of them. Our guide Yandek also took an amazing photo of my husband and me in front of some of the tallest trees I've ever seen! Further morning visits were to the Tegenungan Waterfall, Elephant Cave and the Puri Saren Palace, which were all beautiful. Our lunch spot was a real highlight, it had been raining a fair bit in the morning, but once we had eaten our lunch, it cleared up and the staff opened the restaurant blinds, revealing the most amazing view of the valley below! Safe to say we moved over to the window and enjoyed a Bintang looking out over the jungle below, which was great. Next on the agenda was the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, which I'd been looking forward to, and we were not disappointed by the amazing scenery and sheer scale of the place. On an aside, it's definitely worth coming in the rainy season so you can see Bali's rice terraces when they are lush and green! Our last stop of the day was one not included in the private tour, but one that we really wanted to see; the Unesco-listed Pura Tirta Empul, a Balinese Hindu water temple famous for its holy spring water. Yandek was very accommodating and more than happy to drive us to and accompany us around the temple, and we're so glad he was because it was an incredible place, and quite the experience watching the vast number of people from all around the world getting involved in the bathing ritual. Yendak was a veritable fount of knowledge, telling us the functions of all the different fountains (including the one you're not supposed to bathe under). There was also a real bonus visit on the way back to our hotel, when we were asking Yandek about traditional Balinese houses, and he invited us spontaneously to come and visit his house to see for ourselves! We met the majority of his family while we were there including his mother who was preparing offerings for the next day's temple visit. It was a wonderful insight into how Balinese people live, which really added an element of authenticity to our Bali experience. Thank you so much Yandek for your hospitality and for truly going that extra mile! Say hello to your family from Harry and me
