I booked a private tour as a solo traveler, and it was quite wonderful. The driver, Hendra was professional but also kind and friendly. He took amazing photos for me at every stop (lifesaver when you don’t have someone with you!) and made me feel comfortable the whole day. The conversation was light and genuine. The itinerary was well paced, A Tirta Empul Temple water cleansing, a must for anyone seeking that spiritual moment, the waterfall visit and coffee tasting ~ a good surprise. The Jungle Swing visit and lunch with views added a good flair. My highlight was the Temple visit and the Sacred Monkey Forest made the day worthwhile. I liked the natural beauty at the Rice Terrace and a random zip line, which made it more adventurous. The day felt flexible, not rushed, and I could spend longer in places I enjoyed, which was lovely. Hendra was amazing, he made every stop meaningful ensuring I enjoyed authentic moments all the way. If you want to see a mix of culture, nature, and a bit of fun in one day, this tour delivers. It felt safe and surprisingly personal.

I’m writing this because I relied on other reviews before choosing this tour from several options online, and I hope this helps someone else too! My husband and I visited Bali, Indonesia to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After leaving Seminyak, we headed to Ubud to explore as many sites as we could. Gus Kumara was our Ubud tour guide, and he was absolutely amazing! He arrived right on time to pick us up from our accommodation at Kayangan Villa Ubud. Together, we visited the temple, traditional Balinese market, monkey forest, rice terrace, jungle swing, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch where they surprised hubby and I with anniversary dessert which was yum! One of the highlights was that Gus took incredible photos of us throughout the day, I had considered hiring a photographer, but with Gus’s skill, I didn’t need to! He was also very knowledgeable, explaining not only each site but also Balinese and Indonesian culture in a way that was meaningful to us as Americans. On top of that, Gus was patient, kind, and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. We had an unforgettable day in Ubud thanks to him and this tour company. We highly recommend booking with them, and we would definitely do it again and specifically request for Gus!
