Brilliant & action-packed day!

This is our first time in Bali, so for the first day of our holiday we decided to dive in and explore Ubud. Ma-de was the best guide we could have hoped for! He told us so much about Bali culture and knew the best times to go to all the attractions so it wasn’t too busy, and he took great photos of us throughout the day!We started at Tegenungan waterfall which was beautiful and not very busy because we went first thing in the morning. Then we went to the monkey forest, then Ubud art market where we could buy souvenirs. Then we went to the jungle swing, which was terrifying and exciting at the same time! A great photo opportunity. Next to the jungle swing is D’alas Warung restaurant, where we had a delicious set meal which was included in the price of the day tour. I mentioned that we were in Bali to celebrate my birthday and the staff brought out a little cake with a candle for me!After lunch was a bonus trip to a coffee plantation (because I told Ma-de I love coffee and he thought I would enjoy it). It was brilliant! It was fascinating to see the coffee, spices and tropical fruits grow, and to see the luwaks - we even got to stroke one called Jojo 😊 and they give you a sample platter of coffees and teas to compare (and of course you can buy them in the shop afterwards if you like). We carried on the afternoon visiting Tirta Empul temple, where they give you a sarong to cover up your legs (or you can bring your own, like I did). Finally we ended the day by visiting Tegallalang rice terrace, which again was not too busy due to the time we went.Overall a fantastic day and I can’t wait to tell everyone back home all about it! Thank you Ma-de for taking care of us and teaching us so much about Bali!

Great day

Amazing day with our guide Lewer. He looked after my mum and myself, nothing was too much. Had a great time seeing the monkeys and drinking coffee.
