Ma-de, the tour guide

Ma-de was our guide and he did a fabulous job! Not only is he very knowledgeable with the area, but he’s also smart with the planning. Pick up was super easy because he had our names posted and it was EXACTLY where it was instructed. Then we went to the rice tegalalang rice terrace when it was not too hot and there weren’t much tourists. We were able to do the zip lining annd the famous Bali swings! Then, we went to the monkey forest where he shared so much knowledge of the area, land, culture of Indonesia. What I really appreciate during this part was the fact that he was so respectful to the monkeys and the land we were on!Next, we went to the coffee plantation where we got to taste some of the local coffees. Unfortunately, my husband and I were not too into coffe; however, I thought the planning was perfect since we were getting a little tired. There were teas to try as well!Next, we went to the temple where we saw local students practicing their arts and Ma-de taught us a lot about the culture and the background of everything! Finally, we went to the waterfall. What a perfect way to end the day with some food above the waterfall & a small swim! With some shopping too! I do feel like that shopping area was a little much because we did spend a little bit more than we want to and most stores know that they can charge tourist more. So…. I would definitely bargain…Every step of the way was a cultural or history lesson which we really appreciated. We got to know Bali so well because Ma-de was so knowledgeable and so willing to share his culture. He planned the trip where we weren’t around too many tourist and we were able to take LOTS of photos without having people in the shot(take a look!) He’s such an a photographer as well!10/10 would definitely recommend tour… and 10000k/10 would recommend ma-de to be your tour guide!

Best tour of Ubud

Had the BEST time!! Ma-de was our guide. I was on a tour with 5 more people and he did his absolute best to accommodate every single request. Timing was perfect, the sites were amazing, and we ended up totally exhausted. We were at the rice terraces, a coffee plantation, the Tegenungan waterfall, the Monkey Forest and the Batuan temple. Ma-de also offered to take us to the Mas Village, but everyone was already exhausted after such a rich and satisfying experience
