Firstly, our driver Merta made this day. We’ve had a couple of bad drivers as the driving in Bali can be a bit boisterous. He was on time and spoke very good English. Told us so much about Bali culture and answered all of our questions. His driving was excellent we never felt he was in a rush and only overtook vehicles in safe spaces. The vehicle was clean and had AC.Now the tour, we went to two waterfalls at the start, the first was very instagrammy. With people queuing to get the “money shot”. Merta told us we would be there between 1-2 hours depending on the queue and gave us guidance on a tip. After 20 minutes of queue we took some just as good photos by the side (you’ll have better opportunities elsewhere don’t waste your time)The second waterfall was quieter and got some nice pictures. Merta gave us the option for when we wanted lunch and due to my partner picking up a stomach bug we had a lunch after the waterfalls. It had Indonesian and western options and it was good value.Onto the temple which was very tranquil. Merta explain the Hindu temple and gave us the opportunity to have a purification ceremony which my wife really loved.Then a quick stop to the giant swing which we waited no time, we did the tandem and was a lot of fun. We tipped the swing operators for how good they were.Lastly was the rice terrace, this was interesting thanks to Merta he explain a lot about the rice farming process. The place is becoming a big tourist site with zip wires and rope swings but we preferred learning about the culture.Overall this was a lovely trip seeing some key tourist sites, the day wouldn’t have been half as good without Merta. He’s also amazing with the camera. Thank you so much from the Moores

We had an unforgettable day exploring the beautiful sights of Ubud with our guide, Lewer. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and full of highlights. Lewer was not only incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, but also very thoughtful and attentive throughout the entire trip.He shared so much about Balinese culture, history, and traditions, and made every stop—from the rice terraces to the temples—come alive with stories and local insight. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy each place. His warm personality and passion for his home truly made this tour special.Thank you, Lewer, for making our day in Bali so memorable!
