It was a trip me and my partner booked last minute through Viator app. However, it was not at all disappointing. We took a private tour and taking learnings from the tour we took the day before, we decide to inform our guide on our timings appointments after the tour. We are also ok for not having the sunset at Tanah Lot as we have already had our sunset experience the day before at Uluwatu. It is very easy for us to trust Bagus with his plans, as the first impression he gave us was just excellent.First, he arrived 30mins earlier and politely inform us that he is ready if we want to depart early. He waited patiently not in the vehicle but at the lobby fully clothed in Balinese traditional outfit. It was a pleasant surprise comparing the tour guide we had the day before.All this is accompanied by the warm introduction he gave us during the journey up to our first destination.After we shared our requests, he customised our trip in accordance to what we like to experience.We understood Bali traffic, especially morning rush hour so we trust Bagus with his plans. That said, he repeatedly update us on the traffic as destination may change if traffic builds up towards one area. We appreciate that.Though his english is not perfect, our conversations were easy. Instantly we became friends. We talked about history of Bali to its culture.He walked with us through Monkey forest and offered us help many times to take our picture.Even during lunch, he can just dropped us at the restaurant but instead he made sure we are well taken care of, only until the food is ordered he left us to the beautiful ambience.At Tanah Lot, while we are busy searching for magnets for our collection, he surprise us a nice coconut drink to share between me and partner.The fact that he is a tour guide, he does not at all appear or felt like he is a stranger. Among my many travel experience and tour guides I engaged through Viator. He is the best. Very amicable, respectful and well informed driver and guide. He was courteous throughout and took us to places on time like clock work. Would certainly recommend for private tours around the island.

Booked two tours with HBD, Ubud Monkey Forest and Rice Terrace tour and Tanah Lot Temple tour, for which we had the same driver. Guday was fantastic great, providing lots of information and insight as he drove us around the island. He also took us to a coffee plantation area, which was fascinating - not taking a look at coffee but also the range of herbs and spices that grow on the island. Great restaurants on both days - really enjoyed the food. One tip - Tanah Lot can get very, very busy in the evening. We switched the tour around so finished with Taman Ayun - which was so quiet - hardly anyone around.
