I had the absolute best tour thanks to Kantun. I had a few specific places in mind so I used WhatsApp to message the night before, and within a few minute the tour was all set up for pick up the next morning. For my custom tour I asked to see Pura Besakih, Penglipuran Village, and a rice terrace. Kantun included other small stops that were such nice surprises, including a coffee plantation where you could sample 12 different types of tea and coffee and later on, a chocolate store with all Bali cacao bars. One of the best parts about this day for me as a solo traveler is that Kantun did a phenomenal job of taking photos and videos! He is a true pro. I was not expecting to have any photos of myself on this trip since I am traveling alone, so that really was such a nice added benefit! He also shared so much information on Bali traditions and culture, which is the main reason I wanted a guide. The entire day from start to finish was perfect.

Hire Bali Driver was great to work with from start to finish, promptly responding to my inquiry and even open to my request to add an additional site to ensure we could see everything we wanted. Komang reached out the day prior to our tour to confirm the details and was so kind, knowledgeable and made our experience so memorable. Would highly recommend!

Marvellous day tour with Oka around Ubud, the art market and Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest, the rice terraces and two amazing temples.Everything was easy; we were picked up from our Nusa Lembongan ferry and chauffered to each site. Oka was a fount of knowledge on each place and Balinese culture and religion. The day was made much better through those fascinating discussions.Thirta Empul, the temple of the holy waters, is magnificent but very busy. Unfortunately, the sheer amount of Western tourists choosing to take the purification ceremony means that locals are now less able to visit their own temples to practice those rites. We'd encourage folks to go and look, but maybe leave the devotional practices for real devotees.A highlight for us was the second temple, Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring , carved into the rock sides of a river gully hundreds of years ago and very peaceful.We enjoyed a great lunch along the way at Sawobali in Ubud, a well priced and delicious vegan buffet.All in all a great day and a great tour. We would not hesitate to use HBD again.
