We always research private tours and drivers when we are going on a cruise. We don't like the ship offered tours and excursions as they are crowded and expensive. We came across Hire Bali Driver via Trip Adviser reviews and emailed them about a customised day tour. Excellent communication and touring information was offered and we booked a tour that included Port pick up and drop off, all entrance fees, a buffet lunch and a busy day of sightseeing visiting the rice terraces combined with a Luwak coffee experience, seeing the volcano at Mt Batur with a buffet lunch stop, and the Kehen temple complex. We avoided the main tourist crowds and a very enjoyable day was had. Our driver was extremely informative and courteous and come highly recommended. The local experience and negating of the traffic was awesome and we felt safe at all times. We arrived back at the port at the designated time and never worried once about meeting timeframes. We paid US$50 per head all inclusive paid on the day at the end of the tour - the corresponding ship tour was A$150pp! We would much rather give a nice tip to the driver than line the purses of the cruise companies. Our trip startet at 9 o'clock in the morning and our driver and guide Sakha welcomes us to the Tour. He explain us a lot of bali, the culture and the places we have seen. Sakha always asked us if the next stop is okay or if we like to something other. He teils us at every Station where people sell things that we can bye something but we don't have to. Also the people at this Stations was really nice and they was not attack us to buy something. We See a lot of thinks and enjoy the day with Sakha.
