Overview

Start your early morning with the most unforgettable experience to climb the sacred Mount Batur. 2 hours trekking from down to the peak of the mountain. Witness the amazing sunrise from the 2nd highest place in Bali. Taste your simple breakfast with tea and boiled eggs while waiting the sunrise. Mount Batur is one of Bali’s most sacred mountains according to the Hindu people. It is still an active volcano located 1717 meters above sea level and is known for its natural beauty and magnificent sunrise.

You will arrive at the summit crater at around 6am where you will be able to experience a spectacular sunrise. You can also enjoy a simple breakfast of tea and eggs cooked by your guide. Enjoy the sunrise and explore 3 new craters before descending down to the bottom of the mountain where you will arrive around 9am.

On the way back you will visit the natural hot springs where you can relax your muscles in the warm and natural refreshing water.

On the way back to your hotel you can also stop at a traditional coffee plantation to see the manual process of coffee production and witness the production of a strange form of coffee from the animal pup called Luwak Coffee.

MT Butar sunrise hike and thermal pools.

Great tour. All the info on the page was correct. Pick up from 1:30am. At MT Batur by 3:30am. Walking and up the summit by 5:15am. Sunrise approx 6:10am. It was cold while we waited for the sun to come up. Breakfast was boiled egg, banana and cheese toasty, and black coffee. There isn’t much need to bring snacks as there are plenty of locals selling the usuals at the major break and stop points.The walk down was 1hr and we were at the thermal pools by 9am. These were magnificent.Drive to the hotel was long as expected. But we also convinced our driver, Peter (Putra), was a champ and stopped to pick up some essentials for our next adventure. And must say that Peter was the best driver overall. Highly rated.

Challenge accepted ???? beautiful sunrise hike

We had a hike today, on July 1st, and although it was misty and almost raining all went smoothly. Our guide was well prepared, and our driver, Surya, on time and even borrowed us a poncho. Good English and good communication (that is not always granted when in Bali). All went well, thank you very much.

Mt Batur! Great experience

We were picked up on time from Nusa Dua and headed for Mt Batur at 1:30am. Our driver Gede was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke great English. When we arrived we were handed over to our guide, a young girl. She was amazing! I struggled going up and she was so patient, caring and constantly held my hand to help me manage when needed. Our guide took fabulous photos of us too. She returned us to Gede at the end who took us to the hot springs and a coffee plantation. Gede took care of everything! I cannot thank them both enough for their outstanding service. Gede also explained his culture and answered any questions we had. Thank you so much for a great day and even better service.
