Overview

Start your early morning with the most unforgettable experience to climb the sacred Mount Batur. 2 hours trekking from down to the peak of the mountain. Witness the amazing sunrise from the 2nd highest place in Bali. Taste your simple breakfast with tea and boiled eggs while waiting the sunrise. Mount Batur is one of Bali’s most sacred mountains according to the Hindu people. It is still an active volcano located 1717 meters above sea level and is known for its natural beauty and magnificent sunrise.

You will arrive at the summit crater at around 6am where you will be able to experience a spectacular sunrise. You can also enjoy a simple breakfast of tea and eggs cooked by your guide. Enjoy the sunrise and explore 3 new craters before descending down to the bottom of the mountain where you will arrive around 9am.

On the way back you will visit the natural hot springs where you can relax your muscles in the warm and natural refreshing water.

Great hike with hot springs

The experience was very fun. The hike is very crowded (you will be in a line getting up) but otherwise was a great experience. Our driver Leo was very professional and told us a lot about local Bali life. The hot springs were great after the hike although I would suggest bringing flip flops. We forgot and felt the change room area was not that clean.

Fantastic experience

Amazing experience, worth doing on an Ubud visit. We chose private so that we wouldn't feel rushed. It's an early start (around 2:30am) and it's two hours to the top, where you can watch the sunrise in all its glory. Our driver, Benik, was fantastic. Our tour guide to the top was very good, she made sure we stepped in the right places and gave us breaks! It is a moderate climb, two hours up and two hours down. Quite a few slippy areas so good shoes are a must. If you're very British like us, you'll probably find it hot as soon as you're there, so we wore shorts, but you will need a light jacket for the top as it can be chilly! Hooded jacket may be helpful, as the volcanic ash can blow around into your eyes. The hot springs are perfect for after! Everything was quite chilled, Benik took us to a coffee plantation and tasting after which was fascinating. Great day, absolutely worth it.

Fabulous Day

Our driver was so lovely and patient with us, felt safe in the car driving with him. Loved how organised the whole experience was.
