Amazing experience, amazing guide!

One of the best experiences you can ask for if you are a hiking/nature lover but I would not have enjoyed it half as much if it wasn't for our driver Paul and hiking guide Komang. Paul made sure everything was organized down to the tee and replied promptly to all questions we had on WatsApp. His English was fluent which helped alot and he made our super long drive there and back seem alot shorter by teaching us so much about Bali. The hike itself is moderate for experienced hikers but tough for someone who is unfit or never hiked up a mountain before. If it wasn't for the guide we had, Komang, one of our friends would have never made it to the peak. He held her hand and supported her all the way up. It is definitely definitely worth the early hours. Just make sure you get the right guide and go with Paul!

Challenging but rewarding

After a 1:30am pick-up from our Seminyak villa for a smooth 2 hour drive to Mt Batur, we started to ascend the volcano. We are a group for 4 friends of varying fitness ability and we all found the hike fairly challenging. Having our own private guide was great because we didn’t have to wait too long when resting and could overtake large tour groups. The path was steep, rocky and there was a lot of loose gravel that made the hike even more challenging. With that said, this was a memorable experience and should be added to your bucket list. Just be prepared to sweat a lot while ascending, bring a WARM jacket for the summit, wear some grippy shoes suitable for the gravelly trail and have fun

Amazing trip!

Good experience! The driver came on time and took us to the base of mount Batur. There a local, called “Coma” who was very friendly, showed us how to get to the top of Batur. Also he made us incredible photos. Sometimes the climbing is a bit heavy but you ask to rest for a minute and that’s enough to continue. On the top they prepared us breakfast while the sunrise was coming. For us the best part. After this and getting down, the same driver who was also very friendly, took us to the hot spring near the lake. There you can take a warm bath to relax your body. After that, and getting a massage from the girls of there, the driver took us again to the final destination: a coffee plantation. There you try different types of coffee and tea. The best one, the Luak coffee. They get this coffee from the poo of this animal. It is delicious. And then that’s the end of the trip. In general a great experience. We think you can’t leave Bali without living this. Good job to the team who organized this. We’ll recommend it for sure
