I recently joined an Ubub trip with Radi, and I can’t recommend him enough! Radi isn’t just a talented photographer—he genuinely goes above and beyond to capture every moment of your adventure. When we had to change our initial itinerary, Radi quickly came up with alternative spots that were even better than our original plan. His recommendation of a stunning waterfall with crystal-clear water truly elevated our experience. Not only does Radi have an incredible eye for photography, but he also knows the area inside out, ensuring we got to see the best hidden gems. Drone Review and Our Ubud Adventure with Hendra

Our guided tour in Ubud was Absolutely legendary. And we have one person to thank for that—our amazing guide, Hendra. This guy didn’t just show us around; he made the experience fun, informative, and downright unforgettable. His passion for Balinese culture, endless knowledge, and good vibes turned a great trip into something RAD.Rice Terraces – Early Birds Get the Best ShotsWe kicked things off at Bali’s iconic rice terraces, and let me tell you—these places are next-level beautiful. Hendra explained the subak irrigation system, an ancient technique Balinese farmers have been using for centuries to grow rice. (Fun fact: Rice isn’t just food here—it’s practically sacred.)We arrived early—like, before the crowds even thought about waking up—which meant we had the whole place (and the Insta-famous swings) to ourselves. I even flew my drone for some epic aerial shots, and Hendra, being the legend that he is, helped me take off and land safely while also making sure I didn’t accidentally break any local rules. Pro tip: Always be respectful when flying drones, follow local regulations, and don’t be that person.Stop 2: Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu – Water Purification & Zen VibesNext, we visited Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, a gorgeous water temple surrounded by lush greenery. The highlight? Performing a tirta purification ritual in the sacred springs. Hendra guided us through the whole process, explaining the deep spiritual meaning behind each step. By the end, we felt refreshed—physically, spiritually, and possibly even emotionally (who knew holy water could hit different?).The temple itself is stunning, with koi-filled ponds and intricate stone carvings. But drones? Big nope. As tempting as it was to get some aerial shots, I respected the sacredness of the place and kept my drone packed. (Seriously, no one wants their fancy plastic toy falling into a holy site.)Next Stop: Ulu Petanu Waterfall – Nature’s Hidden GemThen it was off to Ulu Petanu Waterfall, a secluded paradise far from the usual tourist chaos. Getting there was an adventure in itself—we trekked through a lush jungle, completely blown away by how clean and untouched everything was.And the waterfall? Straight-up magical. Crystal-clear water, thick jungle vibes, and the perfect spot to cool off. This place is drone-friendly, but you gotta be careful—there’s not much space to maneuver, and with people swimming, bridges, and mist from the crashing water, it’s a risky flight. Obstacle detection ON, slow movements only, and, again, don’t be that person.Stop 4: Mount Batur Viewpoint – Lunch with a Side of CloudsNext up: Mount Batur viewpoint, where we got to enjoy one of the most breathtaking sights in Bali. The drive up was a trip in itself—Hendra kept us entertained with stories about volcanoes, local traditions, and life in the villages surrounding the mountain.By the time we reached the top, we were literally in the clouds. Unfortunately, heavy rain meant no drone action for me, but I’d imagine this place would be a dream to fly in clear weather. Pro tip: Bring a raincoat unless you want to be one with the mist.Of course, no adventure is complete without food, and lunch here did not disappoint. Hendra hooked us up with some must-try Balinese dishes—crispy duck, nasi goreng, and all the tropical fruit you could dream of. Good food, insane views, and great company? Chef’s kiss.Stop 5: Batur Natural Hot Spring – Ultimate Relaxation ModeAfter a day of hiking, climbing, and waterfall-jumping, our final stop was the Batur Natural Hot Spring—a perfect way to unwind. Nestled by the lake, the hot springs were warm, soothing, and surrounded by some seriously stunning views of Mount Batur. And the best part? Drone-friendly. Unlike the waterfall, this place has a ton of open space, making it an easy spot to fly. Just be mindful of other visitors—you don’t want to be the reason someone’s peaceful soak turns into a panic attack.Final Thoughts: Hendra = The GOATLet’s be real—Bali is already a dream destination, but what made this trip truly next-level was Hendra. His deep knowledge of Balinese culture, his humor, and his attention to detail made every stop feel special. He’s not just a guide—he’s like that super chill friend who knows everything and makes sure you have the best experience possible. From explaining temple rituals to helping me fly my drone safely, Hendra went above and beyond.Would I recommend this tour? 1000%. And next time I’m back in Bali, I know exactly who I’m hitting up for another adventure.
