We visited Bali for 5 days, splitting time between Uluwatu and Ubud. Based on the preliminary research we did before leaving, we decided early on that we would prefer to hire a driver for a customized itinerary rather than worry about scooters, grabs, or preplanned excursions.Gede (our driver) and the HireBaliDrivers dispatch was phenomenal end to end. For a very reasonable price, Gede provided impeccable door to door service and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time every day on Bali. A few highlights from our 5 days with Gede:+ Excellent driving skills and comfortable car (with good A/C): Gede’s driving was great through some pretty narrow / muddy places. —felt safe and in good hands the whole time. I also noticed that he cleaned the vehicle after every single day, even if we finished our day late in the evening. Very impressive!+ Positive disposition and great rapport with locals: was always optimistic and cheery, and made our time very pleasant. Gede has a fantastic personality and interpersonal relationships — there were a few situations (e.g., road closures) where we would have been at a loss without him helping to work with some of the locals. For example, we wanted to see a waterfall but the road had washed out. Gede helped to arrange scooter transport with a local villager since cars couldn’t go, then made sure we got back safely to the main road+ Knowledgeable and helpful: Gede went above and beyond to explain the culture, food, and religion of Bali at each stop. In same places he knew more than the guides....+ Flexibility and professionalism: We had a specific list of things we wanted to do every day and Gede did everything in his power to help us achieve them. He would suggest optimal routes and help us pace timing to make sure we hit what we wanted. He never pressured us to move faster or slower, rather served as an advisor to help us make an informed decision. Gede also never pressured us to buy anything anywhere (e.g., food, souvenirs) unlike other less scrupulous private drivers / companies. We were able to trust Gede to share genuine recommendations with our best interest at heartAll in all, would highly recommend HireBaliDriver and Gede specifically. Having Gede take care of us from landing to takeoff from Bali made the trip so much more enjoyable and efficient, we would absolutely do it again if ever back in Bali.

All parts of the program were amazing. Our driver was very nice and went with us to all the attractions like down to the Tegenungan Waterfall, into the Monkey Forest, to the Coffee-Tasting or to the Rice fields. He took pictures of us at all places and made sure, that we had everything we needed. Also he told us about the History of the rice fields, the Tempels or the Waterfall. It was a wonderful day and we saw so many Attractions in Ubud.

My favourite part of the experience was Khanu, our guide even took the initiative to take photos for us, and made our experience even more pleasant by going the extra mile of getting us in goofy and cliche poses.
